VALENTINO FALL WINTER 2015-16

The Valentino collection Fall/Winter 2015/16 is a tribute to extraordinary women who were no just artist’s muses, but artists themselves.

“This collection is about the balance between romanticism and sensuality,” said Pierpaolo Piccioli. “It’s also about the way you perceive a woman the way she is. She has the freedom to be herself.”

“The black and white dresses you could see at the beginning of the show are not made of prints, but patchworks,” said Maria Grazia Chiuri. “It’s a sign of our couture work.”

“The clothes are so beautiful – serious and sexy, and a little bit mysterious,” said Derek Blasberg, Editor-at-Large of Harper’s Bazaar.

Two guest stars closed the show: Zoolander’s Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Art director Fabien Baron liked the Zoolander surprise (cameo) very much: “Fashion should be fun,” he said. But he also loved Valentino’s ready-to-wear collection. “The gowns were exceptional. They were beautiful and impeccable. The collection was almost like a medieval painting.”
