TAG HEUER NEW WATCHES 2017
CARRERA HEUER 01 ROSE GOLD
TAG Heuer launches a new signature chronograph in an even more luxurious 18K rose gold version featuring the famous TAG Heuer shield on its full-grain calfskin leather strap.
Presented for the first time in 2015, the Carrera HEUER-01 is THE signature Chrono model from the TAG Heuer manufacture. The 2017 version made from modern materials such as titanium, but also in a more precious metal, shares the same features as the original Heuer-01: the skeleton dial (now a signature on the model), the 45-mm diameter case (this time in titanium), and the bezel with tachymeter scale. To add a touch of luxury to the piece, the watch’s lugs, hands and indices are made from 18K rose gold.
CARRERA HEUER-02T WITH A BAGUETTE DIAMOND BEZEL
TAG Heuer is launching its famous Manufacture Chrono Tourbillon with a bezel set with 68 baguette diamonds.
This version of the Carrera Heuer-02T is made from grade 5 titanium, a modern material which is lighter than steel. It was developed directly from the DNA of the CH-80 chronograph, used as a basis to interpret two of traditional watchmaking’s most famous complications: the chronograph (one of TAG Heuer’s key strengths), and the aesthetically-pleasing tourbillon. At 4 Hz, and 28,800 vibrations/hour, the main technical challenge was to house a single barrel, the chronograph functions, the automatic winding mechanism and the flying tourbillon within a diameter of 32 mm, whilst ensuring the counters were well spaced to give it a modern, balanced look.
LINK MEN CALIBRE 5
The famous Link is celebrating its 30th birthday with a masterful makeover. A noticeably larger diameter (41 mm), an understated contemporary design, halfway between a round and cushion shape, all while retaining its signature: the iconic bracelet with its S-shaped links. Made entirely of steel, the bracelet is totally integrated into the case, making horns superfluous, and providing a more fluid and ergonomic design.
This model houses an automatic Calibre 5 movement visible through a sapphire case-back. The Link for men is available with three dial variations: black, silver-plated and blue sunray.
