Soap-free cleansers inspired by traditional Japanese confectionery, a beauty water named after the Japanese super drink Amazake, and a moisturizing cream with fermented soybean extract and carrot cells: the new Japanese beauty products by Waso Shiseido are so-called gourmet skincare products made with ingredients sourced from the nature or the botanical garden.

Waso fuses natural goodness with cutting-edge science and technology. Customizable, playful, and accessible, the range includes products that strengthen beauty over time.

Amazake, named after a Japanese drink full of nutrients and often referred to as a super drink, is a handy all in one product for people who love skincare but don’t always find time to go through a lengthy beauty routine. It cleanses, hydrates and primes skin in a single step. The smooth textured water polishes skin, removing dirt, excess sebum, dead skin cells and light make-up. At the same time, it delivers moisture and smoothens skin to allow make-up to stay on longer. In one step, this triple treat gives you a fresh clean skin that also looks brighter and feels hydrated.

Shake the product before every use to mix ingredients. The gentle paraben-free, mineral oil-free formula is suited for all skin types.

Our favourite new Waso products are the limited-edition soap-free cleansers Azuki and Sakura, which draw inspiration from traditional Japanese confectionery. They rinse away accumulated impurities and leave skin feeling refreshed.

The soft scrubs in these cleansers contain agar, a jelly-like substance that comes from red algae, and is known to be effective at lifting dead skin cells, dirt and excess sebum from the skin. The cleanser also contains Agaropectins, found in agar jelly, and known for their great skin care benefits.

Choose the cleanser that best matches your mood! City Blossom brings out your tender yet strong side. Its motivating scent is good for when you’re in a refreshing mood. Sugar Chic is good for unwinding from a busy day, let the cleanser refresh and relax you. Use twice daily, morning and night.

Harnessing the power of fermented soybean extract and carrot cells, this cream helps tackle issues caused by dryness. Its delicate yet rich texture massages easily into the skin, helps control moisture balance and leaves a comfortable refreshing matte finish.

This rich cream contains a moisturizing complex that delivers moisture to the skin and helps retain it for up to 48 hours. With peony extract to prevent rough skin, glycylglycine to improve or minimize pores and soybean oil to skin concerns, this cream also helps to reduce sebum.
