DOLCE&GABBANA FASHION SHOW SPRING 2019

1990s-era supermodels, celebrities, millennial influencers and plus-sized models hit the Dolce&Gabbana’s runway on 22 September 2018 as the Italian fashion house presented its colourful DNA Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

Church bells rang as models dressed in black and veiled, carrying candles, opened the show. The curtain rose to reveal an international cast lead by model Monica Bellucci followed by  Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Isabella Rossellini, who was accompanied by her daughter Elettra Wiedemann and her son Roberto Rossellini.

The show was unique due its numerous celebrities, while the collection featured mostly elements seen in many previous collections, with embroidery, lace, tassels, flowers, Sicilian prints, religious iconography and more combined in a blaze of colour and creativity. Models wore tight black dresses, ruffled flower dresses, tuxedos, elaborate crowns and headpieces, stiletto heels or sneakers and fishnet stockings.
