In 2017, Shiseido launched the Waso skincare line with seven daily skincare products. Waso is formulated to address the specific needs of young adult’s skin. This fall, Waso introduces two new masks that purify and hydrate skin. Curious to know how to get the glow with Shiseido Waso masks? I’ve tested the two brand new products for our readers.
GET THE GLOW WITH SHISEIDO WASO MASKS
Constant exposure to the stresses and strains of modern living (late nights, overworking and pollution) can take its toll on your skin. It deserve a break and some extra care. Purifying Peel Off Mask and Beauty Sleeping Mask revive your skin and leave it refreshed and ready for the next steps.
REVIEW WASO PURIFYING PEEL OFF MASK
The pop art colour of the Waso Purifying Peel Off Mask is amazing. And so tempting. It looks like the colour of a Mac or Nars eye shadow. The pearl-red mask powered by botanicals is perfect for dull skin with visible pores that needs purifying. It peels away dirt, pollutants and other causes of breakouts, to uncover smooth, hydrated skin that’s free from impurities.
It removes old surface cells and lifts sebum and impurities from pores, giving you a clearer complexion. It maintains essential moisture and doesn’t dry out the skin.
Renowned for its natural health benefits, the Red Shiso’s roots lay deep in Japan. Rich in vitamins and minerals, this herb has been used throughout history for its detoxification and anti-oxidizing effects. By suppressing the glycation of protein, shiso leaf extract helps to minimize dullness caused by stress and restore radiance.
I have a combination skin and use this great new mask twice a week. I use one to two tablespoons of the product and smooth it evenly on my face, avoiding the eye area, brows, lips and hairline. The mask layer has to be quite thick to peel it off afterwards. I wait for approximately 20 minutes and then gently remove it from forehead to chin. My skin feels very soft and ready for a powerful serum. I usually use the Waso Purifying Peel Off Mask in the evening.
REVIEW WASO BEAUTY SLEEPING MASK
I tested the Waso Beauty Sleeping Mask in summer. Even though I’ve got a combination skin, it tends to be dry in summer because I sometimes wash it three times a day due the heat. This intensive yuzu-infused moisturizing mask, which contains botanical ingredients, is the perfect solution, because it hydrates and recharges skin while you sleep. When you wake up, you’ve got a radiant and healthy looking skin, even after little sleep.
High in vitamins A, C and E, Yuzu (Japanese citrus) is known for its intense beautifying effects. The Aoyuzu (Green Yuzu), harvested only in early summer, possesses a fresh acidity and crisp dewiness. Its extract promotes production of hyaluronic acid to help moisturize skin that is prone to dryness.
I apply this new mask twice a week to give my skin an intensive moisture boost overnight. I apply the product in thick layer and smooth it over the face, focusing on the cheeks and around the eye area. After 10 minutes, I massage the remaining gel onto the skin. The next morning, I wash it off. My skin is hydrated and ready for a serum, a light cream, suncream and foundation. I’m very pleased with this new beauty mask and recommend it to woman of any age who need a moisture boost once or twice a week.
In Switzerland, both masks will be available from September 2018. Price: Purifying Peel Off Mask CHF 46.80, Beauty Sleeping Mask CHF 55.80
