Which body part reveals your age first? Your neck? Your hair? Your hands? The correct answer is: your eyes. Why? The eye contour has the thinnest and most fragile skin on the entire face. Moreover, the lack of oil-secreting glands, collagen and elastin fibers in the eye area cause the skin to become dry and age faster. Did you know that every day, your eyes experience over 10,000 natural micro-movements, by blinking alone, which would equate to walking 5 miles a day? These repetitive micro-movements cause stress and irritation, leading to visible aging around the eyes. Based on this latest discovery, Estée Lauder introduces Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix – a multi-repair, skin strengthening, ultra-nourishing formula with an innovative 360° matrix technology.

This technology wraps the eye area in a flexible visco-elastic network that allows natural eye movement while providing cushioning support against the effects of eye micro-movements. The two types of hyaluronic acid provide a surge of immediate moisture, quickly rehydrating and trapping moisture to create a plumping effect, and also prompt skin to naturally produce more moisture from within.

The new Eye Concentrate Matrix targets all key signs of aging, including the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, under eye puffiness and uneven skin tone. It includes powerful ChronoluxCB Technology featured in the iconic Advanced Night Repair Serum, Estée Lauder’s bestseller.

I use Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix twice a day, in the morning and in the evening after cleansing my face and eyes. Using the custom-designed massage applicator, I roll it under each eye three times, before massaging it in a 360° circle under the eye area and above the lid (watch the video below). Even though it’s a rich, nutrient eye serum, the skin absorbs it quickly. Applying a concealer afterwards is very easy, there are no white residues (which is often the case with eye serums and creams from other brands). The skin around the eyes feels immediately refreshed, hydrated and plumped up.

What I most love about it? The long-lasting hydration, which is essential to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Whether I’m at work, walking outside or sleeping, my eye area is plumped with a surge of moisture. After about two weeks, I also noticed that the Eye Concentrate Matrix had fortified the skin around the eye area.

In my opinion, Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix is an excellent anti-ageing product that helps to prevent and reduce fine lines, fine wrinkles and uneven skin. Needless to say that if you have drooping eyelids or under-eye bags, you can only solve the problem with laser or surgery. I wouldn’t recommend Plexr. In my opinion, it’s a waste of money. I tested Plexr two years ago and I didn’t see any difference.

Don’t forget that you can promote healthier and younger looking skin by wearing sunscreen every day (even if it’s cloudy) and not smoking. Always wear sunglasses when the sun is shining. According to researchers, the sun is responsible for 80 per cent of skin ageing.
