BEST HEALTHY BREAKFAST IN LONDON

A traditional English breakfast isn’t the most exciting thing on earth, is it? Well, if you want to skip bacon, fried eggs and buttered toast while in London, I highly recommend having breakfast at Ottolenghi’s NOPI restaurant. They serve a great choice of breakfast menus from 8 to 11 a.m. My favourite is shakshuka, which I consider the best healthy breakfast in London. It’s as copious as a meal. To be honest, I didn’t test a huge amount of breakfasts in London, but Ottolenghi’s shakshuka is really heaven on earth.

 

BEST HEALTHY BREAKFAST IN LONDON

Shakshuka, a spicy tomato-and-egg dish, is a Middle Eastern breakfast dish. It  has its origins in North Africa. The ingredients are healthy and inexpensive. Ottolenghi’s shakshuka consists mainly of braised eggs, red and yellow peppers, onions, tomatoes, a piquante tomato sauce and smoked labneh. It is being served with two slices of toasted bread with olive oil (unfortunately, the bread they served me was partly burnt).

What else can you order for breakfast at NOPI? Scrambled tofu on sourdough, rose harissa, avocado salsa; grilled Mastelo cheese, fried egg, pita bread, za’atar; black rice, coconut milk, banana, mango.
