Leo DiCaprio’s cousin is Italy’s new tv star: Raffaella Di Caprio plays the leading role of Giovanna Minutillo in Furore 2, a series that aires on Sunday evening on Canale 5, Italy’s most successful TV station. The series about the difficult life of people from Southern Italy who immigrated to Northern Italy in the ‘5os and ’60s also features Adua Del Vesco and Massimiliano Morra, two of Italy’s most followed actors by the young generation.
Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio (43) is a distant relative of the 25-year old actress. In an interview with Piero Chiambretti for Matrix, Raffaella said that their great-grandparents were second-degree cousins.
