Princesas, la Reina del Flow volvió! With its signature blend of suspense, music, and high-stakes drama, The Queen of Flow has long captivated audiences far beyond Colombia, cementing its status as a global streaming phenomenon. The series made history as the first Colombian production to win an International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela, a milestone that confirmed its international appeal. That momentum only grew with Season 3, which surged into Netflix’s global Top 5 of non-English-language series, racking up millions of views within days of its release. Back home, the impact was just as striking: Season 3 premiered as the most-watched prime-time program in Colombia, drawing more than four million viewers and proving once again that La Reina del Flow is not just a hit—it’s a cultural force.
If you’re new to The Queen of Flow or need a refresher, Seasons 1 and 2 set the stage with revenge, romance, and the rise of a music empire (read our first article). Fans will instantly recognize the leads: Yeimy, Charlie, and Pez Koi, whose performances brought the drama and heart to life. Season 3 also introduces new faces, including Sky, Soraya and Yoni Trejos.
The success of The Queen of Flow is largely driven by its powerful reggaeton soundtrack. Season 1 features 33 original songs, while Season 2 expands this to 49 tracks, highlighting how central music is to the series. Reggaeton blends elements of reggae, hip-hop, and Latin music, and the show uses this fusion to reinforce its core themes of ambition, rivalry, and resilience.
La Reina del Flow was primarily filmed in Medellín, Colombia, capturing the essence of Comuna 13 and other urban neighborhoods. For its third season, some concert scenes were shot in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, Spain.
Medellín, Colombia’s second-largest city, is known for its urban innovation and transformation from a city once notorious for crime into a cultural and technological hub. It’s also famous for its arts, festivals, and scenic Andes surroundings.
The third season of La Reina del Flow (2026) consists of a total of 64 episodes on Netflix. The season is being released in several batches: the first 19 episodes premiered on January 14, 2026, followed by a second batch of 21 episodes on February 9, 2026. The final episodes are expected to be released in March.
The actors portraying Yeimy Montoya, Charlie Flow, and Pez Koi do not perform the songs themselves; the vocals are provided by professional singers, for instance Guita, ensuring a high musical standard throughout the series.
In contrast, the actresses portraying Sky and El Hurracán are professional singers who perform their songs themselves, without the use of playback.
Carolina Ramírez plays the adult Yeimy Montoya. The 42-year-old Colombian actress, who has 2.9 million followers on Instagram, originally dreamed of becoming a professional ballet dancer. However, after attending castings, she quickly began landing roles in telenovelas. Her portrayal of Yeimy became the most significant role of her career to date and brought her international recognition. Ramírez is in a relationship with Argentine show producer Martín Cornide and is currently expecting her first child.
Carlos Torres plays Charly Flow, a successful reggaeton star and the husband of Yeimy Montoya, the Queen of Flow. The 37-year-old actor, who has 6.3 million followers on Instagram, grew up in Barranquilla, Shakira’s hometown. Born to architect parents, he later moved to Bogotá to study acting and quickly began landing roles in telenovelas. Torres has been in a long-term relationship with Joanna Castro.
Juan Manuel Restrepo, who plays Erick Cruz, also known as El Pez Koi, is a 28-year-old Colombian model and actor. He rose to international fame in 2018 with his portrayal of Erick Cruz and the younger version of Charly Flow in the series. Restrepo is in a relationship with actress María José Vargas, who played young Yeimy Montoya in Season 1 of The Queen of Flow. He has 3.1 million followers on Instagram.
Mariana Gómez (33) plays Irma, also known as El Hurracán, a successful singer and Erik’s girlfriend. Mariana grew up in Medellín and scored her first hit at the age of 17. Gómez later took on a leading role in the Netflix series Arelis Henao, a 61-episode Colombian musical drama inspired by the life of the renowned singer. Mariana has 2 million followers on Instagram.
Sky, the most important new character of The Queen of Flow season 3, is portrayed by Alisson Joan. The 30-year-old actress and singer was born in Cali, Colombia. From a very early age, she showed a strong interest in the performing arts. Her first major project was A Otro Nivel, the musical reality show that premiered in 2017 on Caracol Televisión. She has a sister, Jei Santander, who frequently appears on her social media. Together, they run a YouTube channel called “Hermanati.”
Michell Orozco, 25, plays Soraya, Sky’s younger sister. She began her career at the age of 12 in a television series about Escobar. In 2015, she portrayed the young version of Lady Tabares in the successful Colombian film La vendedora de rosas.
Will there be a fourth season of La Reina del Flow?
Yes, it is very likely that there will be a fourth season of La Reina del Flow. Sources have confirmed that Caracol Televisión and Netflix are already working on the pre-production of a fourth season, aiming to continue the series’ international success.
Script: Which character make little sens?
The character of Mike Rivera, Yeimy’s and Charly’s former music producer who is currently in prison, feels unrealistic. It is hard to believe that an Argentine prisoner could wield so much power both inside and outside a Colombian prison. Even if he had been wealthy in the past, it seems implausible that he would spend his time behind bars casually drinking mate, working out, and issuing orders. If he were truly that powerful, he would have escaped long ago.
