Born in Cairo amidst a tapestry of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, French, and Italian influences, Dalida embodied a rich cultural duality long before global diversity defined modern artistry. Her move to Paris solidified her status as a universal figure capable of turning personal vulnerability into pure strength—a duality seamlessly captured across Rolland’s 33 bespoke silhouettes.
Architecture, Light, and Emotion
Echoing the emotional depth of master lyricists like Jacques Brel and Léo Ferré, the collection unfolds like a musical recital. Luminous whites composed of crêpe, gazar, chiffon, and satin lead the opening looks with weightless capes, coats, and trapeze cuts. As the narrative progresses, the palette gains intensity with dramatic reds, deep blacks, and silver accents, enriched by subtle embroideries of agates, crystals, and mother-of-pearl.
