The Nuxe Spa at the Villa des Orangers is an oasis of calm and wellbeing that welcomes you with exotic fragrances of rose petals and orange blossom. During my stay in the Red City, I had the pleasure to spend a night at the magnificent Villa des Orangers, a 5-star luxury hotel and member of Relais & Châteaux.
The Arabian Nights style spa offers a traditional Moroccan hammam, three massage rooms – including one double room – and two treatment rooms. You can choose from a variety of oriental treatment rituals at the hammam, for instance Oriental Escape (30 minutes of discovery hammam, a traditional exfoliation with black soap and a kessa glove, and a 30-minute massage with Huile Prodigieuse, Nuxe’s bestseller oil) or Detox Hammam (hammam, salt green tea scrub, algaes body wrap).
The Spa also offers oriental treatments like Moroccan Treatment (with argan powder, prickly pear, aloe vera, green day, honey and saffron) or Aroma Lacté Treatment (a moisturizing bath for dehydrated skin).
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to test the hammam treatments, but a journalist who travelled with me tested the Oriental Escape and loved it very much. She said it was a unique experience.
I tested a waxing treatment and was fully satisfied. The beautician was friendly, fast and qualified. At the spa, they apply the traditional Western waxing method, not the sugar waxing (even though I would have loved to test the sugar waxing for the first time in my life). This is probably due to the fact that Nuxe is a French brand.
