TIFFANY OPENING WITH PALOMA PICASSO

Tiffany & Co. celebrated the opening of its first boutique in Geneva, Switzerland on 18 June 2015 with approximately 500 guests. The VIP event was hosted by Frédéric Cumenal, chief executive officer of Tiffany & Co.

Paloma Picasso looked radiant at the opening event in Geneva. She was accompanied by her husband Eric Thevenet, a French doctor. The daughter of Cubist painter Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot is a legendary style icon and a successful jewelry designer, celebrated for a boldly original style defined by brilliant colored gemstones. She started making jewelry as a teenager. Soon she was styling avant-garde theater productions and designing fashion jewelry for legendary French couturier Yves Saint Laurent. In 1979, Picasso was invited by Tiffany design director John Loring to create a table setting for one of Tiffany’s exhibitions. A year later, the designer’s first exclusive collection of jewelry was introduced at Tiffany.
