Ziad Nakad, one of the most talented young couturiers, took architecture as an inspiration for his Couture Collection Fall/Winter 2022/23. “I am passionate about architecture,” Ziad Nakad once said in an interview with VERTIGO Mag in Paris. “I often get inspired by architecture and art when I travel or visit musems in my home country or abroad.”
This season, the Lebanese couturier took inspiration from southern Asian architecture and an Indian empress who flaunts spectacular evening gowns that exude femininity, elegance and glamour.
The palette of choice comes in sets of three, from metallic shades of light grey and rose gold to ruby red, emerald green and sapphire blue. Incorporated on fine materials of velvet, silk and leather with the brand’s signature aesthetics of embellished sequins and Swarovski crystals. The details of delicate oriental embroidery form an arabesque mosaic of masterpieces.
Beirut is the setting of the architectural beauty that hosted the Fall/Winter 2022/23 Couture show of Ziad Nakad. It is his homage to his homeland Lebanon, a country that merges tales of different époques and is repeatedly adapting to challenges and the fast life of today.
“I chose the Rhombus, a diamond-shaped design, at the center of this collection as it elongates the silhouette. For this new season, I want to celebrate a woman’s body. She is a vision and a fruit of my imagination. She belongs to a far away land in the East, yet remains contemporary and ever so elegant,” says Ziad Nakad.

Ziad Nakad is a Lebanese couturier who grew up in Beirut. He studied fashion design and also worked for one of Lebanon’s most famous couturiers. Ziad Nakad is part of a small group of young Lebanese couturiers who might follow in the footsteps of Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad.
Ziad Nakad, who used to showcase his couture collections in Paris before the pandemic, designs two couture and two ready to wear collections as well as one bridal collection a year.
