For his Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024/25 show, Lebanese fashion designer Tony Ward revealed a sumptuous collection called Nymphs Rebirth at Hotel Potocki, an Art deco palace in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
The breathtakingly beautiful pieces in his latest collection were inspired by the nymphs, the mythical creatures, with sequins, beads and metallic leaves all taking centre stage on the runway in Paris.
NYMPHS REBIRTH BY TONY WARD
She is born again. An enigmatic female divinity in Greek mythology, rebirthed by the hands of the Atelier Tony Ward in Beirut, Lebanon.
The nymph came alive on the runway and as diverse as she is; she took many forms through volumes and cut-outs.
Tattooed with the finest patterns, her soul spoke of passionate craftsmanship and exquisite couture. She existed in the draping fabric, in the delicate layers of stitched petals and the faded embroidery on sheer tulle.
She sat on the beads, flourished in between the art of thousand pleats, shined in the crystals. Her laughter was echoed through the flared skirts and accentuated by layers of blended silk and metallic leaves.
Upon her arrival, the nymph gifted the audience 3,000 silk organza flowers offered to them on a statement cape.
She occupied the elements of nature with tints of celestial blue, sage green, and cherry wood red.
The divine creature, only known to be a myth, is now known through the eyes of the audience.
Every time you look at her, you will remember that she exists within you, and you exist within her.
She is the daughter of the earth in all its forces, in all its power, in all its fabrics.
The haute couture show by Tony Ward took place on 24 June 2024 at the Hotel Potocki, an amazing Art deco palace that was once the location of the fashionable salon of Polish Countess Emanuela Potocka.
Chinese superstar Fan BingBing and many celebrities like Pia Wurtzbach, Ariadna Gutiérrez, Helene Segara, Maimouna Doucouré, Yousra Mohsen and Déborah Francois attended the couture show.
