“These gems have life in them: their colours speak, say what words fail of,” English poet George Eliot once said. This poetic description also applies to Coloratura, the new high jewellery collection by Cartier. It stands for the values which the maison holds dear: universal curiosity and openness to the world. Cartier celebrated Coloratura with an exclusive dinner in Paris in July 2018 during Haute Couture Fashion Week.

GOLSHIFTEH AND MONICA AT A CARTIER DINNER
To pay homage to this exceptional diversity, Cartier invited Iranian actress Golshifteh Fahrani (35), Italian actress Monica Bellucci (53), English actress Naomi Watts (49), French actress and director Mélanie Laurent (35), Indian actress Freida Pinto (33) and Italian socialite Bianca Brandolini (31).
As many female celebrities and cosmopolitan talents as vibrant colours in the palette of this high jewellery collection, brought together in the prestige setting of the Cour Carré in the Louvre, where a glass structure was specially constructed for the occasion.
This transparent showcase became the stage for concerts of classical and contemporary music, while dancers adorned in creations from the Coloratura collection performed a choreography created by Marie-Agnès Gillot, prima ballerina at the Paris Opera, who was also present at the event. The gala dinner continued with a performance by singer Dua Lipa and jazzman Jamie Cullum.
