During a business trip to Geneva, I booked a beauty treatment at the 5-star hotel Le Richemond. I was looking forward to discovering Le Spa by Sisley, given the fact that I had been invited to lunch by Mrs. Isabelle d’Ornano, co-founder of Sisley Paris, three years ago (http://zurich01.wpengine.com/hot/lunch-isabelle-dornano-sisley-paris). Morevore, as a beauty editor, I’ve been testing Sisley luxury beauty products for the last five years.
Sisley specialized in phytocosmetology and combines botanical active ingredients and essential oils. The majority of Sisley’s products are manufactured in France.
LE SPA BY SISLEY AT LE RICHEMOND HOTEL
When I arrived at Le Spa by Sisley, I was warmly welcomed by beauty therapist Roberta. She asked me to fill in a questionnaire in order to know more about my specific needs and any possible allergies. I could also choose the music I wanted to listen to during the treatment (world music, classical music or jazz). I was then accompanied to the changing room and given a bathrobe and a pair of slippers.
Le Spa offers a wide range of beauty treatments for the face and the body. I opted for the Phyto-Aromatic Hydrating Facial (60 minutes, CHF 210). Even though it was summer, my skin needed a hydrating facial to restore hydration and radiance. At the beginning of the treatment, Roberta showed me all the Sisley products she had chosen for my facial. During the treatment, she hardly ever spoke, which I appreciated. I could really relax without being involved in a conversation.
The treatment began with a minute of relaxation in which I breathed in some lavender oil. Roberta then cleansed my skin with the Gentle Make-up Remover, the Cleansing Milk with Sage and the Grapefruit Toning Lotion. She continued with a facial scrub using the Gentle Facial Buffing Cream, which I really loved: it absorbs sebum and impurities while lifting and removing dead skin cells with delicate, exfoliating microparticles.
After the scrub, Roberta applied the Eye Countour Mask and the moisturizing Express Flower Gel Mask specifically designed for dehydrated, lifeless, or tired-looking skin. Later on she applied the Floral Spray Mist and the Ecological Compound, one of Sisley’s bestsellers, which revitalizes and hydrates the skin. At the end she applied Hydra-Global, an intense anti-aging hydration, and All Day All Year.
My skin felt very hydrated and I was happy to have had the chance to relax for an hour before heading to a business lunch. Roberta was very professional, warm-hearted and extremely kind. When she accompanied me back to the changing room, I asked her if I could have some more light to apply my make-up. Given the fact that there was only a dimmed light in that room, she suggested that I use a treatment room where I had much more light.
I was very satisfied with the facial treatment and can warmly recommend Le Spa by Sisley at Le Richemond hotel. After the treatment, go for a walk on the shores of Lake Geneva. You only have to cross the street.
For further relaxation, guests can use the sauna and the steam room and then settle into one of the reclining chairs. This part of the spa is a mixed zone for men and women.
