I recently attended a Shiseido presentation in Zurich, where guests were treated to beautiful blue macarons and a matching non-alcoholic drink topped with a delicate white foam. The star of the evening was Shiseido’s latest innovation — the Bio-Performance Micro-Click Concentrate, which I’ve now tested at home for two weeks.
According to Shiseido, “The serum delivers Niacinamide with micro-level precision while providing gentle physical stimulation, helping to firm and hydrate the skin while visibly reducing fine lines and dullness. Shiseido’s ultra-advanced 18 micro-point applicator enables skin to receive effective ingredients more precisely through mechanical stimulation for intensified benefits.”
A box (priced at approximately CHF 292 in Switzerland or USD 280 in the U.S.) includes one clickable serum container with six applications and six micro-point applicators.
My Honest Experience
I used the product every second night for twelve days. I did not apply it on the cheeks, because I have no sagging or wrinkles in that area. Instead, I focused on the under-eye region, nasolabial folds, chin, and forehead. Each time, I pressed the micro-point applicator firmly against my skin, repositioning it gradually and clicking about 50 times per session (25 clicks per side). I then gently massaged the remaining serum into the skin.
The treatment is a great option for anyone who dislikes needles or prefers to avoid in-clinic microneedling, an intense and often painful procedure that remains one of the most effective professional rejuvenation methods I’ve ever tried. It’s worth noting that Shiseido doesn’t position this serum as a replacement for cosmetic or medical microneedling. Although inspired by microneedling technology, the treatment delivers a gentler, at-home experience rather than professional-level results.
Despite the physical stimulation, the Shiseido treatment didn’t hurt, although my skin appeared slightly red for about 30 minutes afterward. If you have very sensitive skin or rosacea, I wouldn’t recommend it. After the redness subsided, I applied a hydrating night cream.
Results After Six Treatments
After completing the six applications with Shiseido’s new product, my skin looked refreshed and smooth. Since I’ve been using a Niacinamide 10% serum every morning for about two years, the improvement wasn’t dramatic for me. However, I believe this treatment could make a more noticeable difference for those who haven’t yet incorporated Niacinamide into their skincare routine.
