Paris is the capital of the haute patisserie, but Germany might soon become the capital of the gluten-free patisserie thanks to Isabella Glutenfreie Pâtisserie, an amazing café and pastry shop located in Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Aachen. Each patisserie is different, but the cosy and stylish interior design makes you feel as if you were in a private living room in Scandinavia or in the Provence.

I discovered the beautiful Isabella Pâtisserie in Stuttgart by chance while walking along the side roads of Königsstrasse. I loved the interior design and their choice at first sight. The first time, I opted for a cappuccino and a sandwich. Both were delicious and served in a beautiful coffee cup decorated with flower motifs and a plate in pink, gold and white.

The second time, I opted for a maracuja mousse pastry and a hot tea with fresh mint leaves, orange and ginger. The pastry was simply amazing. I didn’t notice any difference between this gluten-free pastry and the pastries I used to eat in Paris. It was light, delicate and very tasteful.

Last but not least: Alissa, the co-owner of the patisserie, is extremely friendly and welcomes her guests with a smile. She runs the café with passion.

This beautiful café in Stuttgart is centrally located (Calwerstrasse 48) and has about eight tables. Opening times: 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Isabella Pâtisserie in Stuttgart offers not only pastries, coffee and tea, but also delicious sandwiches for €3.90 (e. g. with salami, Parma ham, fresh goat cheese and fig chutney), smoothies, cold beverages (e. g. lemonades by Proviant Berlin) and macarons.

The café also offers a variety of breakfast menus: a sweet breakfast for €6.90, a vegetarian breakfast for €9.90, a vegan breakfast for €11.90 and a classic gluten-free breakfast for €12.90.

Isabella offers a variety of delicious biological smoothies (e. g. the Antioxidant with banana, strawberries, blueberries, kale, sour cherries, dates, coconut, coco chips and açai) and biological no-milshakes (e. g. the Healing with strawberries, banana, mango, cashews, dates and sea salt).
