Denver is played by Jaime Lorente López, a Spanish actor who was born on 12 December 1991 in Murcia. He’s the forth of five children.

He’s best known for playing Denver in Money Heist (La casa de papel in Spanish) and Nano in Elite.

Jaime studied acting in Murcia and landed his first TV roles in Amar en tiempos revueltos and El secreto de Puente Viejo, two very successful Spanish soap operas.

In 2014, he left Murcia and went to Madrid, where he played in a few theatre plays. According to Jaime, the theatre was the best school he ever attended.

In 2017, Jaime appeared in Money Heist, Netflix’s biggest success outside of the United States, and rose to worldwide fame. He plays Denver, a hotheaded thief who falls in love with a hostage, Monica, who will soon become Stockholm, a new member of the gang. In Money Heist Season 2, Denver’s father Moscow is fatally shot by the police outside of the Royal Mint of Spain.

In 2018, Jaime Lorente appeared in Elite, one of the biggest successes for Netflix in terms of original production. Elite Season 1, which premiered in October 2018, was watched by 20 million people in its first four weeks. In Elite, Jaime plays Nano, the elder brother of Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), a bad boy who has just been released from prison and who is looking to settle his debts.

Jaime’s best friend of the Money Heist and the Elite cast is Miguel Herrán who plays Rio. “We are similar during the shooting of a film,” says the 29-year-old actor. “We are a little bit like a lone wolf, we don’t stay in the crowd.”

He has a passion for football and he’s a fan of Atlético Madrid. On his Instagram account, he posted pictures of him with Antoine Griezmann and Marcelo Vieira, who are both fans of Money Heist.

He was in a relationship with Maria Pedraza, a Spanish actress who appeared in the Netflix series Money Heist Season 1, Elite and Toy Boy. They started dating in 2018 and split in January 2021.

Today, Jaime is in a relationship with Marta, an employee of the costume departement of Money Heist. Their first child, a baby girl called Amaia, was born in San Sebastián on 7 November 2021.
