On a magnificent transatlantic ship travelling from Spain to Brazil, two beautiful sisters, Eva and Carolina, discover that their father is still alive and that he is responsible for the death of hundreds of Jews who were sent to a concentration camp during the Second World War. A handsome officer, Nicolás Sala, helps them to solve a few misterious murder cases on the cruise ship.
The Spanish TV series High Seas is back on Netflix with Season 2. Family secrets, murders, love stories and intrigues continue, while a mysterious young woman named Casandra appears. She has supernatural powers and hides a big secret.

High Seas Season 2 starts with the rescue of a group of five people from a little boat. They were travelling on a cruise liner that exploded.
Casandra is the main character of the new group. She has supernatural powers.
Casandra is played by Claudia Traisac. The 27-year old Spanish actress is the girlfriend of actor Josh Hutcherson. She had a leading role in the Spanish Netflix series Unauthorized Living.
It is not a coincidence that the group of shipwrecked passengers is on the transatlantic ship. It was all planned from the beginning.
Eva finds out that Casandra has been on the ship before. The proof is a brooch that Eva finds in Casandra’s ship cabin. It features the symbol of the Covadonga, a ship that was later renamed Bárbara de Braganza.
Eva finds out that the Covadonga belonged to a Spanish family named Marín before it was bought by Fernando Fábregas, Carolina’s fiancé, who renamed it Bárbara de Braganza.
The phantom of a dead woman appears on the transatlantic ship. Carolina is the first one to see her. Casandra gets in contact with the dead woman during a spiritual session with Carolina and Fernando.
It turns out that the phantom is Rosa Marín, the daughter of the former ship owner. She was murdered on the ship and appears as a phantom dressed in a white dress covered with blood stains.
Carolina’s and Eva’s uncle Pedro, who was attacked by his brother, survived, but he’s blind.
Carlos, Eva’s and Carolina’s father, is arrested on the ship and put in an animal’s cage.
Nicolás Salas, the handsome officer, receives a telegram from his wife Chantal whom he thought dead. She’s waiting for him in Rio de Janeiro. He fears Eva’s reaction.
Nicolás Salas is played by Jon Kortajarena, one of the most successful international male models. Many fashion designers are fascinated by him, e. g. Tom Ford, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Olivier Rousteing.
Alejandra Onieva (27), who plays Carolina, is a successful Spanish actress. She is best known for her role as Soledad Castro Montenegro in the tv series El secreto de Puente Viejo.
Ivana Baquero (25), who plays Carolina’s sister Eva, a writer, began acting as a child: at the age of 11, she was cast by film director Guillermo del Toro for Pan’s Labyrinth.
High Seas Season 2 was premiered on Netflix on 22 November.
In November 2019, the High Seas crew started filming 16 new chapters of Season 3.
