Are millennials always the best solution? No. Especially not in advertising. In the new ad campaign for Light Blue Sun, the latest summer fragrance by Dolce&Gabbana, David Gandy has been replaced by Italian model Gennaro Lillio. The 28-year old Neapolitan is not an international model. In Italy, he’s mainly known for being a candidate of this year’s Big Brother Italy and for having had an affair with Lory Del Santo, who had a son with Eric Clapton in 1987. Let’s face it, dear Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Even though your model Gennaro imitates David Gandy, even though he’s wearing the same white pants as David, and even though he’s seducing a girl in Capri like David in the famous Light Blue commercial, your blond hunk doesn’t even have 5 percent of the look, the charisma and the style of David Gandy. Britain’s sexiest man alive is simply unrivalled.
