Forget about Sicily, Campania and Tuscany: According to Gambero Rosso, three of the best ice cream shops are in Torino: Marco Serra Gelatiere, Alberto Marchetti, Mara dei Boschi and Ottimo! Buono Non Basta.
Number one is Gelateria Canelin in Aqui Terme, which doesn’t have a website or a Facebook page.
Number five is Gelateria Soban in Valenza, Milan, Trieste and Alessandria (addresses). They also sell vegan and gluten fee ice cream.
BEST GELATERIE IN MILAN, FLORENCE AND ROME
According to the gelaterie ranking of Gambero Rosso, the best ice cream shops in Milan are Gelateria Paganelli as well as Pavé Gelati e Granite. In Florence, the best homemade ice cream is made by Gelateria Carapina and Gelateria della Passera.
In Rome, La Gourmandise offers classic, artisanal gelato, while Otaleg in Trastevere uses special ingredients like preakly pear, gorgonzola, ginger, mustard and licorice.
